Ingredients
Scale
Wet Ingredients
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup ranch dressing
Dry Ingredients
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon garlic and onion seasoning
- ¾ cup panko bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix
Main Ingredients
- 8 ounces portobello mushroom caps, cleaned
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) to ensure even, crispy cooking of the mushrooms.
- Prepare the Breading Station: Arrange four shallow dishes for breading the mushrooms. Pour milk into the first dish. In the second dish, mix all-purpose flour with garlic and onion seasoning. Add ranch dressing to the third dish. Combine panko bread crumbs with dry ranch dressing mix in the fourth dish.
- Bread the Mushrooms: Take each cleaned mushroom cap and first dip it into the milk, allowing excess to drip off. Next, coat the mushroom in the flour mixture, shaking off any extra flour. Then, dip it into the ranch dressing followed by a thorough coating with the panko and dry ranch seasoning mixture.
- Arrange for Air Frying: Place the breaded mushrooms in a shallow air fryer pan or directly in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray them with nonstick cooking spray to help achieve a golden, crispy exterior.
- Air Fry the Mushrooms: Cook mushrooms in the preheated air fryer for about 7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Depending on your air fryer model, shake or turn the mushrooms halfway through to ensure even cooking.
