Fruit and Cheese Platter Recipe

  • Author: Lana
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 6-8 1x

Description

A delightful and easy-to-assemble fruit and cheese platter featuring a variety of cheeses paired with fresh fruits, nuts, and olives. Perfect for entertaining or as an elegant appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheeses

  • 8 ounces yellow or white cheddar
  • 8 ounces brie or goat cheese
  • 4 ounces parmesan or gouda

Fruits

  • 1 red apple
  • 1 green pear
  • 2 grape bunches

Accompaniments

  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 1/2 cup toasted almonds
  • 1/2 cup olives

Instructions

  1. Slice the cheeses and fruits. Carefully cut the hard cheeses like cheddar and parmesan into thin slices or small chunks, and slice the apples and pears. To prevent fruit slices from browning, optionally squeeze a bit of lemon juice over them.
  2. Arrange the platter. On a large serving platter, artistically arrange the cheeses, sliced fruits, grape bunches, fig jam, toasted almonds, and olives. Feel free to customize the arrangement based on your preferences or what’s available.

Notes

  • Use lemon juice on fruit slices to avoid browning.
  • Choose your preferred combination of cheeses and fruits to customize the platter.
  • Serve with crackers or bread if desired.
  • This platter is best served at room temperature for optimal flavor.
