  • Author: Lana
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 32 servings 1x

Description

Delight your guests with these elegant Puff Pastry Brie Bites, featuring flaky puff pastry filled with creamy brie, sweet jam, and crunchy pecans, garnished with fresh thyme for a perfect appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Puff Pastry Base

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed (17.3 oz package)

Fillings and Toppings

  • ⅓ cup chopped pecans
  • 8 oz Brie cheese
  • ½ cup jam (your choice of flavor)
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Puff Pastry Cups: Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheets and gently roll with a rolling pin just enough to smooth out the creases. Cut each sheet into 16 equal squares by slicing into 4 strips horizontally and 4 strips vertically. Spray a muffin tin well with oil and press each puff pastry square firmly into the cavities, shaping each square to form a small cup.
  2. Slice and Assemble: Slice the Brie into 32 one-inch pieces. For easier slicing, freeze the Brie for about 15 minutes before cutting. Place one piece of Brie inside each puff pastry cup, then add 1 teaspoon of jam on top. Sprinkle with chopped pecans evenly.
  3. Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the filled puff pastry cups for approximately 20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh thyme leaves. Optionally, sprinkle some orange zest or drizzle honey or hot honey over the bites for an extra burst of flavor. Allow the bites to cool slightly before carefully removing them from the muffin tin. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Freezing Brie briefly before slicing makes it easier to cut cleanly.
  • Choose your favorite jam flavor; berry or apricot jams complement Brie well.
  • To add more flavor, consider a light drizzle of hot honey or a sprinkle of orange zest before serving.
  • These bites are best served warm but can be served at room temperature.
  • Make sure to spray the muffin tin well to prevent sticking.
