Ingredients
Scale
French Toast Latte Syrup Mix
- 2 tablespoons 100% pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
- ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon sea salt
Espresso and Beverage
- 2 ounces espresso
- 6 – 8 ounces milk (any kind: 2%, skim, whole, or dairy-free alternatives like oat, almond, or soy milk)
- Ice (enough to fill a 20 to 24-ounce cup halfway to ¾ full)
Instructions
- Prepare the Syrup Mixture: Add 2 tablespoons 100% pure maple syrup, 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar, ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste, ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon, and ⅛ teaspoon sea salt into a heat-safe glass.
- Brew and Blend the Espresso: Brew 2 ounces of espresso directly into the glass containing the syrup mix. Use a hand frother to whip the mixture until the brown sugar dissolves completely and the mixture becomes pale and frothy, enhancing both texture and flavor.
- Prepare the Glass with Ice and Milk: Fill a 20 or 24-ounce cup halfway to three-quarters full with ice—use nugget ice or larger cubes depending on preference. Pour 6 to 8 ounces of your chosen milk over the ice, adjusting milk quantity for desired coffee strength.
- Combine and Serve: Pour the frothy espresso mixture gently over the iced milk. Serve immediately with a straw or sip directly to enjoy the creamy, foamy top of your French Toast Iced Latte.
Notes
- Always use 100% pure maple syrup for authentic flavor.
- If you don’t have a hand frother, shake the espresso and syrup mixture in a jar before adding to milk and ice.
- For a dairy-free option, substitute milk with oat, almond, or soy milk.
- To make a hot version, steam the milk and omit ice.
- Consider chilling your glass in the freezer for 15-20 minutes for an extra cold latte experience.
- Vanilla extract can be substituted 1:1 for vanilla bean paste if needed.
